The Senior Accountant role will have a broad focus on maintaining the company’s general accounting functions. This role will also execute consolidations for multiple business units, maintain financial databases, and ensure company codes and compliance. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for coordinating with multiple departments within the business unit. Soft skills that will benefit applicants for the Senior Accountant role will include those that support good communication across multiple departments, the ability to communicate and explain numbers/data to others, and an ability to work in a team atmosphere.

Duties of the Senior Accountant are but not limited to:

Execute and maintain general accounting functions
Month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations
Working as a team to reconcile various assigned accounting transactions through multiple systems
Subsidiary consolidations
Budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections
Working with large amounts of data
Process improvement and implementation
Ensure compliance
Maintain financial database

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or applicable field
Previous accounting experience in a professional environment
Experience with comprehensive ERP systems
Strong Microsoft Excel preferred
Public accounting experience a big plus!
