Are you a seasoned financial professional with a knack for cost analysis and strategic financial planning? We're seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of their organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As a Cost Accountant, you'll be responsible for:

 

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Develop comprehensive financial models to analyze and support divisional trends.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to drive informed decision-making.
  1. Variance Management:
  • Identify and communicate significant variances to management.
  • Propose corrective measures to ensure financial goals are met.
  1. Consolidation and Reporting:
  • Perform consolidation and analysis for monthly reporting of key financial metrics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to facilitate strategic decision-making.
  1. Departmental Support:
  • Provide financial support to department managers by tracking and forecasting cost reduction activities.
  • Analyze monthly results and offer insights to enhance departmental performance.
  1. Inventory Cost Management:
  • Assist functional area managers in understanding inventory costs and variances.
  • Lead efforts to identify, define, and document cost drivers and functions.
  1. Product Costing:
  • Develop and maintain product costs, including material, labor, and overhead rates.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure accurate cost representation.
  1. Capital Expenditure Oversight:
  • Maintain local capital expenditure request processing.
  • Monitor capital project spending and manage the fixed asset system.
  1. New Product Support:
  • Act as the financial representative for new product teams.
  • Provide cost analysis, capital justifications, and make vs buy insights.
  1. Ad Hoc Analysis:
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed to gain insights into business performance.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of progressive financial or cost analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, with advanced Excel features and financial modeling skills.
