GEE Group is seeking a Controls Engineer to oversee our clients industrial control systems at their two manufacturing plants in Ohio. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing ICS to ensure maximum productivity, quality, and cybersecurity. You'll develop automation systems, including HMI and PLCs, to enhance manufacturing efficiency and oversee facility and equipment improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and maintain ICS for manufacturing processes.
Secure ICS against cyber threats.
Develop and program automation systems to improve efficiency.
Plan and implement equipment installations and upgrades.
Document changes to software and hardware.
Inspect installations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for construction and maintenance teams.
Manage capital projects and liaise with suppliers, consultants, and insurance representatives.
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical, electronic, or computer engineering; MS or MBA is a plus.
7-10 years of manufacturing experience, with expertise in installation and setup.
Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming with Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Studio 5000, and Inductive Automation Ignition.
Experience in metallurgical, chemical, or petrochemical industries is beneficial.
Strong skills in equipment testing, troubleshooting, and instrumentation.
Leadership, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
Proficiency in CAD and data analysis.
Experience in developing process improvements for safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Knowledge of ISO systems, NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
