Senior Accountant
Join a dynamic and experienced finance team as a Senior Accountant, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, driving the month-end close process, and ensuring GAAP compliance. This role focuses on account reconciliations, financial reporting, process improvements, and internal controls. Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of GL accounting experience. Public accounting experience preferred. Hybrid work environment with strong benefits offered.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger to ensure all financial data is complete, accurate, and aligned with accounting standards.
- Handle complex account reconciliations and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
- Lead and coordinate month-end closing activities to meet reporting deadlines.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Strengthen internal controls by supporting the development and enforcement of review and approval procedures.
- Create and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support business decisions and reporting needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines in all GL activities.
- Seek opportunities to simplify and automate general ledger operations to enhance financial workflows.
- Take on additional projects or tasks as needed to support the broader finance team.
