Position Overview:
The Engineering Manager will oversee electrical engineering projects from concept through production, managing cross-functional teams to deliver innovative medical equipment solutions. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, proven project management skills, and experience guiding product development within regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering professional development and collaboration.
- Oversee product development projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and on-time delivery.
- Manage all stages of the product lifecycle, from concept, design, prototyping, and testing through manufacturing release.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Establish project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA guidelines).
- Provide technical leadership and problem-solving expertise in electrical engineering and product design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in medical equipment or other regulated manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of product development processes, risk management, and design controls.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
