Construction Assistant Project Manager
GEE Group is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to be the single point of contact for clients, responsible for directing field crews, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring industrial roofing and insulated wall panel projects are completed on time to the highest quality standards. Looking for an up and comer eager to earn and learn.
Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Manage multiple industrial roofing and insulated wall panel projects (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Metal, and BUR) from initial award to final closeout.
- Budgeting & Estimating: Perform project take-offs, manage job costs, and prepare change orders.
- Crew Management: Overseeing, mentoring, and scheduling field foremen and roofing crews.
- Client Relations: Act as the main liaison between the client, architects, and internal team to provide regular project updates.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety regulations and company policies across all active job sites.
- Procurement: Coordinate material purchasing and manage timely deliveries to the site.
Qualifications:
- Education: Four-year degree in Construction Management or similar.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints, understanding of roofing systems, architectural drawings, and construction specifications is a plus.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with construction/estimating software (Autodesk, Bluebeam, Procore).
- Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain within first 30 days).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent written/verbal communication, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
